First Friday Film: Past Lives

Nora and Hae Sung are close childhood friends whose lives are upended when Nora's family emigrates from South Korea to Toronto. Two decades later, they reunite in New York City for one fateful week as they contemplate the changes in their lives and the nature of their relationships. Inspired by events in debut director Celine Song's life, the film was named one of the top 10 films of 2023 by the American Film Institute and the National Board of Review.
