Youth Services, Clerk 

This part time position will assist with the maintenance of the Youth Services Department to include straightening, shelving materials and shelf reading in assigned areas. Will provide basic reference services by assisting patrons in locating items. Operates a cash register for all payment transactions. Assists with opening and closing the library. May work in other service desk areas. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Good organizational skills, and customer service. Must be able to adapt to changing and evolving library procedures, priorities and information technologies. Ability to work independently and be self-directed. Knowledge of basic computer skills and ability to access e-mail and library intranet. 

Hours: 

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.; Every other weekend Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

Salary: $14.71 per hour

Library Circulation Assistant 

This full time position provides assistance to patrons in checking library materials in and out, issuing library cards, answers main library phone, shelves materials, pulls requested materials and maintains the holds shelving, performs clerical, record keeping and other routine tasks as assigned. Must have the ability to utilize good organization, communication and customer service skills. Must have the ability to work independently nd be self directed. 

Hours: Generally 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m Monday through Friday. This position will participate in the scheduled weekend work rotation. 

Salary: $15.28 per hour or $2,648.54 monthly; Health Insurance is paid in full by employer.
