We have a variety of materials and activities designed especially for teens in grades 6-12. Drop in to check out a few books, attend one of our many programs or hang out in our Teen Zone. There’s something for every teen at MRRL!

Missouri Wizard's Art Show @ the Osage Branch
Zackery Mueller, otherwise known as the Missouri Wizard, will have his art displayed in the Woodland Art Gallery from April 2 through May 30, 2026.
Come and check out the Friends of the Osage County Library's book sale area and find deals on books, puzzles, DVDs and more! Call the Osage County branch at 573-897-2951 for more information.
Pizza & Pages is our 9th-12th grade book group. A free copy of the book is provided for the first 8 participants. Pizza and soda are served at every meeting. Reservations required.
The book we'll be discussing in April is Death at Morning House by Maureen Johnson.
Artist Reception for Zackery Mueller @ Osage Branch
Join us for an artist reception for Zackery Mueller on Tuesday, April 7 from 5-6:30 pm in the Woodland Art Gallery as we celebrate his artwork. Light refreshments will be served.
Come knit and crochet with us! Show off your work and pick up tips and tricks from your fellow crafters. Ages 12 & up
Container & Raised Bed Gardening @ the Osage Branch
This educational program provides information to the gardener on different aspects of container and raised bed gardening. Some of the topics discussed will be reasons for container gardening and their advantages.
Dungeons & Dragons
Are you an adventurer at heart? Play Dungeons & Dragons with us! The excitement is real and the escapades are never-ending! You might stomp your way through an army of orcs, or go on a noble quest to rescue a whole town. You decide! Whether you are a long-time adventurer or brand new to the game, you are welcome to join us. 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 6:00PM-9:00PM
Book Groups
The library has two book groups for teens! Novel Ideas meets the 2nd Tuesday each month and is for middle schoolers in 6th-8th grades. Pizza and Pages is our high school book group and meets the 1st Monday each month.
Art Club
Hang out and make art with other artsy teens! We've got the supplies, you bring the creativity. 2nd Monday from 5:30PM-7:00PM
Teen After Hours
Party in the Library! Free pizza, soda and gaming after the library closes.
Chess Club
Come to play, teach, or learn more about chess! All ages and levels welcome! 4th Monday from 6:00PM-7:30PM
Minecraft Monday
Join us to play Minecraft with your friends! 3rd Monday from 5:00PM-6:30PM
Teen Library of Things
The Teen Zone is a fantastic place to hang out. We have large screen TVs for video games and a variety of gaming systems and games to choose from. If you aren't interested in digital you can play one of our many board games!
Bike Locks
Need to secure your ride, but don't have a lock? MRRL has bike locks available to use while visiting the Main Library.
Board Games
Board games are available in the Youth Services department for use in the department.
Chromebooks
Chromebooks are available for checkout with a library card. Laptops check out for 3 hours at a time and may not be be taken outside the library building.
Fishing Poles
Fishing poles and tackleboxes are available for checkout.
Nintendo Switch
Video game controllers and games are available for checkout and use in the Teen Zone (ages 12-18). They may not be taken from the library. Video games are available for checkout.
Playstation 5
