As summer returns, Phoebe finds herself at summer camp with Max (her friend from school) and Sue (her friend from music camp). Marigold, however, has other plans. She is planning to spend some time with her sister and Phoebe is lonely.

I love Phoebe and Marigold and this one had a special message about friendship. I love the end notes where author and illustrator, Dana Simpson, gives facts, how to draw instructions for the characters and often a glossary for the harder words she uses. You learn lessons not only through the stories but also through the practicality of the end notes that are provided. I really love this feature and wish more books would adopt it.
