Trent accidently killed his classmate and now has a feeling of rage that doesn't go away. He is angry and afraid all the time. He is estranged from his friends, mad at his dad and lost and alone. He does make friends with Fallon who has her own story to tell.

Trent is a kid that I would advocate needs counseling badly. I am surprised his family didn't insist on it for him. He is going through a lot and not dealing with it well. For the majority of the book he is also a thoroughly unlikeable character. He is angry at every one and every thing often for no reason. The majority of the situations he finds himself in are his fault and could have been handled better with some anger management.

I think this book could have used some editing down and a bit more direction to the storytelling. It was a bit of a wonderer and it was overly long. Not my favorite.
