While Felicity has escaped going to a finishing school she winds up working in a bakery with a sweet man who proposed to her - not what she wants to do with her life. She attempts to inveigle herself into her ex-best friends wedding, her old friend is marrying a scientist doctor and Felicity hopes to train under him. Sexism and piracy get in her way.

I liked the depiction of Felicity being asexual not into romance, neither girls nor guys. While the dialogue wasn't quite as good as in the prequel, the novel was a good adventurous romp.

Lord Henry “Monty” Montague, young, handsome, and charming, has one last year of fun and freedom, before his father expects him to settle down and help run the family estate. Monty along with his best friend and secret crush Percy, are to have a Grand Tour of Europe. They are to drop Monty’s sister, Felicity, off at a finishing school along the way. Though bred to be a gentleman, Monty escapes these strictures by flinging himself into hedonistic pleasure, excessive drinking, bedding women and men, and flouting social expectations where he can.

This was a fun sequel and I really wish there would be more. I loved how Felicity was fearless and resourceful. I would love to know what happens to Felicity and her two best friends. Females of much more substance than normal and full of force, humor and understanding. Making a life of their own, these three chart a path most men couldn't follow.

This was a good story that explores more about how Maika ended up on the run. It's never easy to evaluate the choices in life,whether it's ones you made or will make or ones others made for you. Trust is had to understand.

After months of boring work in a bakery and being turned down by every medical school she's applied to, Felicity strikes upon an opportunity that she can't resist. Her estranged former friend Johanna is set to marry Felicity's idol, Dr. Platt, who might be willing to take a woman on as an apprentice. Felicity concocts a scheme to get to Germany, which requires the assistance of a lady pirate with an entirely different set of motives. One should never meet one's idols though; Dr. Platt turns out to be far from the enlightened physician that Felicity has made him out to be.

When the Colonel and Miss Lana share the clues about Mo's watery origins that they've been saving, it seems the time is finally right for the Desperado Detectives (aka Mo, Dale, and Harm) to tackle the mystery of Mo's Upstream Mother. It's the scariest case Mo's had by far. But before they can get started, Mayor Little's mean mother hires them to hunt in her attic for clues to Blackbeard's treasure, which could be buried right in Tupelo Landing. Turns out, the Desperados aren't the only ones looking.

This second book in the Montague Siblings duo is center on Felicity Montague. Felicity wants to become a doctor but in the 1700's it is almost unheard of for a woman to enter that field. Her desire to practice medicine overrides her common sense and she embarks on a journey filled with adventure, danger and even pirates.

This book is just as delightful as the first book, A Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue. I highly recommend them both.

Delilah Dirk is a magical, swashbuckling, adventure seeking gal who meets up with Erdemglu Selim and they embark on all kinds of exploits.
This is a delightful graphic novel full of fun and adventure. I can't wait to read the second.

Henry "Monty" Montague is ready for his Grand Tour of the Continent. It is his last year of gambling and debauchery before he has to settle down and learn how to run the estate from his father. Unfortunately, his father is tired of Monty's ways and sends along a bear-leader (babysitter) to chaperone Monty, his sister Felicity, and his best friend Percy around Europe. Things are not going the way Monty planned until a wild night a Versailles. Monty is caught with his pants down (literally) and sort of steals a little something from the King's prime minister Bourbon.

This was a fun and quick read. I have gotten quite attached to our pirate theme this year and this was a great way to finish. The idea of Hook having a daughter makes me laugh since that would mean some female had to find him attractive! Can't wait to read the second book.

Delilah Dirk's adventures with her companion, Selim, continue with a search for a lost city that has them bouncing back and forth across the Mediterranean and beyond. This time, they are joined by Dutch journalist intent on giving Delilah's exploits a mythical edge. Excellent artwork as always, with an even better adventure. Delilah is a fantastic character, especially when dealing with her enemies, both by sword and word.

This book has so much going on it kept me busy keeping track of who everyone was. Mary wants a life at sea and boy does she get it! Not only does she become a female pirate, but she discovers that her childhood love may not be the type of life she wants. Her new life leads to a new forbidden love.

Jocelyn Hook is back and looking for her father's treasure. She has the map but not the key to decoding it. Captain Krueger is hot on her trail also after the treasure. Jocelyn decides they need to find the Jolly Roger in order to break the code. To do that they need Peter Pan's help. So they kidnap his new "mother" Evie. Turns out Evie is not just any 14 year old girl. She is Jocelyn's very own mother and she is having the time of her life in Neverland. Jocelyn has to find a way to convince Evie to go back to her "when" so that Jocelyn isn't stuck in Neverland forever.
