Maria Duhova Trevor has enjoyed a varied and successful career as a harpist in the USA and Europe. She currently serves as the principal harpist of the Springfield Symphony, maintains a private harp studio and a busy solo performance schedule. She studied harp performance at the Slovak Conservatory of Zilina and continued her graduate studies at the Academy of Music and Fine Arts in Bratislava. Among her many appointments, she has performed as the harpist with the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic in the Czech Republic, the Slovak National Opera, and as a featured recitalist at the Seventh World Harp Congress in Prague. Since moving to the USA, she has established herself as one of the most sought-after concert and orchestral harpists in the Midwest. Sha has released four solo albums, and as a teacher brings a wealth of experience to reach a broad age range of students. More than 10 years ago, she initiated monthly Harp and Healing services where she plays therapeutic music for those in need of healing, whether physical, emotional or grief related.
