LU-MRRL Lecture Series: Naval Warfare During World War I

Dr. Bruce Scoville, associate professor of history, will discuss how navies were used during World War I. His presentation will be based on his grandfather's recently discovered diary, dated from April 1917-April 1920. Additional topics will include the background to World War I, the naval ships, the sailors (enlisted and officers), key engagements, and the American navy during the war.
