Description
The Chupacabra. The Ozark Howler. Momo. These three distinct cryptids are associated with Missouri in one way or another, providing insights into Missouri history and culture. Dr. Christine Elisabeth Boston, associate professor of anthropology and sociology, will provide an anthropological discussion on what the origins and meanings of these monsters can tell us about human imagination, discovery, beliefs, and values, as well as explain how and why these entities came to be and continue to fascinate us to this day.
