Description
The En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator is a global model that demonstrates how changes in energy, economic and public policies, such as planting trees, changing subsidies or pricing carbon, impact greenhouse gas emissions and worldwide temperatures. This dynamic tool lets an audience see for themselves the impact policies policies they think will be beneficial can actually have on temperature and emissions. The interactive Simulator is a fascinating way to explore what climate interventions are needed to effectively mitigate climate change. Developed ty leading scientists at Climate Interactive and the MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative, En-ROADS demonstrates dynamics in energy supply, land use, transportation, carbon removal and more. Two area volunteers completed an eight-week training course in preparation to present En-ROADS in Jefferson City. Come to this program to help drive the demonstration.
