Alzheimer's Disease Awareness: Recognizing the Signs and How to Minimize Risk

Joe Pallikkathayil and Christa Roehl will discuss the 10 signs of Alzheimer's and how to minimize risk, as well as community activities that spread awareness of this devastating disease. Joe is an employee of the Alzheimer's Association and serves as manager of the Walk to End Alzheimer's for Jefferson City, Lake of the Ozarks and Rolla. He also manages The Longest Day for the Greater Missouri Chapter and is a part-time caregiver to his rather who is living with dementia. Christa has been a volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association for five years, chairing the Walk to End Alzheimer's Awareness Day, and advocating on both the state and federal level to help those touched by the disease.
