Author Talk: Susan Croce Kelly

Kelly will discuss her recent book, Newspaperwoman of the Ozarks: The Life and Times of Lucile Morris Upton. A reporter, teacher, public speaker and city councilperson, Upton played an important role in the development of the Ozarks and the women's movement in Missouri. 

A distinguished journalist herself, Kelly has received many awards including Missouri's Walter Williams Major Work Award and a Best Book Award from the Oklahoma Writers Federation. She is an inductee into the Missouri Writers Hall of Fame and is editor of OzarksWatch magazine. She is the author of two other books of Midwest history.
