Event Description

Prepare for an exciting and educational Cub Scout meeting focused on emergency preparedness and disaster response! Our Scouts will learn essential skills to help them stay safe and ready in any situation, using official FEMA and Red Cross training materials. They’ll also have the unique opportunity to build their very own emergency preparedness kit.

During this meeting, our Cub Scouts will:
1) Understand the basics of emergency preparedness, including how to respond to various disasters, with guidance from FEMA and Red Cross resources.
2) Learn important skills such as first aid, fire safety, and how to create a family emergency plan.
3) Participate in the "Build Your Own Bug Out Bag (BYOBB)" activity, where they will assemble their own emergency preparedness kits with essential items.
4) Engage in interactive demonstrations and hands-on practice to reinforce their new knowledge.

This event is an excellent way for Scouts to gain confidence in their ability to handle emergencies and to take proactive steps in being prepared. Join us for an informative and empowering evening as we equip our Scouts with the tools and knowledge to stay safe and ready!
