This is probably the best decluttering book I have listened/read. Not only does Dana White give you ideas on how to declutter, she helps you set your mind on the path of decluttering. Her advice is practical and useful. First off you have to think of everything as having a container, whether that container is a box or a drawer or a closet or a house. Once the container is full, it is full and you must remove something in order to add something. I found this particularly useful. Designate a spot as the container for that item, put your favorites in first and then prioritize what else will fit in that container. Everything else needs to go. I like that she also breaks things down in easiest to hardest steps. Start with the garbage, then the recycling, both easy things that don't take a lot of thought. Save the hardest things for last when you have gone through a lot of this process. Her language is great too: procrasticlutter and slobification are awesome terms that truly fit clutter people. Then she asks two questions: If I was looking for this item, where would I look? Put it there. If I needed this item, would I remember I have it? Great advice and easy to implement
