National Library Week

A National Library Week Video for our Patrons

This is an oldie (from 2008) but still a goodie! Enjoy this just-under-two-minute video about how your Reference staff serves patrons all the time - not just during National Library Week!

National Bookmobile Day!

Bookmobile Ribbon Cutting CeremonyToday, April 11th, is National Bookmobile Day (as part of National Library Week, going on all week). The picture to the right is the current bookmobile when it was shiny and new. It still looks pretty good, considering the number of people who visit it every month!

The bookmobile will be at the National Library Week party we are throwing on Saturday the 14th, so come by and check it out!

National Library Workers Day

Today is National Library Worker's Day! You can nominate your favorite library worker as a library star at http://ala-apa.org/nlwd/. Let us know how we've helped you out at your library!

Appreciating Library Staff

Do you appreciate the library's staff for all the little (and not-so-little) things they do for the patrons of the library? Would you like to tell us about it? Leave a comment here, email a story about what the MRRL library staff has done for you to hastingsr@mrrl.org or let the front desk staff know that you appreciate their work this week!

National Library Week!

This week is National Library week - we'll be doing all kinds of fun stuff throughout the week (including doing a week long "Food For Fines" program where you can bring in canned and non-perishable foods for the local food pantry and offering free replacement cards for our old, non-keyfob library cards) ending in a big party on the 14th with free food, games and fun!
