JEFFERSON CITY – Bridget Bufford, who has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, will discuss her novel Cemetery Bird, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, at the Missouri River Regional Library Art Gallery.
In Cemetery Bird, Bufford, who previously was on staff at Jefferson City School District and Touchpoint Autism Services, has written a fictional account of a U.S. Forest Service firefighter who gets injured on the job and returns to help care for her nephew, a minimally retarded verbal teenage boy with autism.
