JEFFERSON CITY – Golf at the library? That’s right, Mini-Golf returns to the Missouri River Regional Library from 5 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 25.
For this one night of the year only, MRRL is transformed into an 18-course mini golf course. Cost for the event is $5 per person and $15 for families (admits up to two adults and four children).
Golf clubs and golf balls will be supplied, and the course will be set up throughout the library’s main and second floor.
Sponsored by the Missouri River Regional Library’s Foundation Board, all proceeds from Mini Golf @ The Library will go toward “digitizing” the library. The project would allow MRRL to use electronic messaging boards in strategic locations to promote activities, programs, and events. In addition, a digital microfilm reader-scanner would replace the photo-type readers still in use. The new reader would let patrons print crisp, clean copies of microfilm materials. The library would also be able to scan its microfilm holdings into a digital format, which could then be indexed for ease in research.
